"New York, though I doubt you would have heard of such a place."
He's really not sure what more he should be saying -- if anything. Saying too much in the 60s had gotten him through into an asylum and while he does not regret his desire to try to save John F Kennedy from being killed, he'd like to avoid being locked up again, if he could prevent it.
He finally sits down, even though he's still buzzing with nervous anxious energy. Where were his siblings? Why had he ended up in this place? Had they only made an even bigger mess of things, somehow? First thing first though, he needs to at least try to place where he is before spiraling into paranoid thoughts. She and her companions speak a language he doesn't recognize -- and he knows more than a few. His father -- if you could call Reginald Hargreeves a father -- had made sure they all learned their fare share -- though Diego struggled with it more than his siblings due to his stutter.
She hasn't heard of New York, so it was difficult to judge how far he had traveled and if he had passed through the areas where the Pale Mare had spread quicker. Everything about this man was strange. His reaction, his clothing and mannerisms. She couldn't pinpoint it, feeling as though he were something of an enigma.
Again, he didn't know where he was. It only made her worry more that he was delirious, but as far as she could tell, there was no fever, no sign of sickness. If he was infected, it should have manifested by now.
"You are in Meereen." She told him calmly, then adding, "Meereen is in Essos." Did he at least know Essos? That would be something, but if he couldn't remember or didn't know, would that mean he was mad or magical?
Which is not comforting at all, at least usually when Five gets them in messes it's just in times not....transporting them to literal fantasy worlds. Which is what this looks like. He stands out like a sore thumb, to say the very least.
"Have you seen anyone else dressed like me? I got separated from my siblings."
"How is that possible?" Unless he somehow hit his head and forget everything...well, she was left with either he was mad or it was magic. He didn't appear mad, but what were the signs? Apparently she didn't have it, but was it truly so simple to see in someone? He seemed rational and reasonable.
And if this was magic? It unsettled her a bit. This seemed stronger than the House of the Undying. Was he...was he a potential assassin.
"No, I have never seen anyone dressed as you." She scanned the crowd as though one of them would suddenly appear. Her earlier troubles drained away at this strange mystery. Someone lost though, without his family, she could understand that.
"It's a long story, one that I imagine won't make a hell of a lot of sense to you."
Honestly? It barely made sense to Diego. He definitely didn't have the brains for time travel or dimension travel or whatever the hell it is -- that was Five's expertise and even he messed it up....pretty frequently, honestly.
"Human? I mean what else would I be?"
Technically he's a superpowered human but he's not exactly going to play that card yet.
Though there was a strong likelihood that she wouldn't be able to follow. Strategy, economics and governance were all things she could learn and learn quickly. Magic like this? This might be beyond her. If it was magic. She still wasn't completely convinced, no matter what she might have experienced before.
There's a hesitation to trust him, unable to forget what happened with Pyat Pree and Mirri Maz Duur. He has a trustworthy face, but how many times had an enemy approached with kind features and gentle words?

Right. Focus. Task at hand.
"Where is this, exactly?"

"Are you a mage?" She might as well ask directly.
Not that she really expected an answer.
